TYPES
Dipole - This is a directional antenna designed
for short-wave reception,
The directional fea-
ture means that signals are received best when
the antenna is turned broadside
to the trans-
mitting station (when the ends of the antenna do
not point toward the transmitting station),
Inverted-V
Dipole
- This
is a non-directional
antenna designed for short-wave reception, The
non-directional feature means that this antenna
will receive signals equally well from all direc-
tions, Therefore, it is often possible to receive
more
stations
with this antenna than you would
with the straight dipole antenna,
