5 - Uses of the [A] and [B] keys

Assigning a constant value to A and B
To assign a value to the [A] or [B] key, enter the value, then press
[2nd] (x>A) or [2nd] (x>B) . To determine the current contents of one of
the keys, press [ON/C] [A] or [ON/C] [B] . The calculator then displays
the assigned value. Values assigned to A and B are retained in permanent
memory when the calculator is turned o . These values are cleared when
you switch to STAT mode.
Using A and B as multipliers
Once a value has been assigned to [A] or [B] , you can multiply by that
value with a single keystroke.
By pressing [A] or [B] immediately after entering a number or completing
a calculation, the calculator displays the product of the assigned value
and the last number displayed.
Example: (2 x 1.234) + (3 x 1.234) = 6.17
