# Phono Motor Fails to Rotate, Fails to Stop
Phone motor fails to rotate, or
Note:
fails to stop
Always
switch the power
off before
connecting
CN2
(Motor
control ass'y connector).
Furthermore, after switching the power
off, also check that there is no voltage across both ends of C7
(Note)
(Power supply ass'y) before connecting CN2.
(If there is voltage,
Check that the connector
discharge the residual charge through a suitable resistor).
(CN2) is secure.
Is IC1 pin 40 at H level

record by hand?

the
phono
motor
circuit board
Is
the
same
result
ob-
tained if CN2 is disconnect-
ed?
Check
soldering
and pat-
tern around IC1 pin 13.
