The Ice Vent pond heater has been specially designed for

BENEFITS OF AN ICE VENT POND HEATER
Ponds do not need to be heated or ice-free during cold weather.
However, it is essential to retain an ice-free area on the pond's
surface to allow toxic gases to leave and for life-giving oxygen
to get in. The Ice Vent pond heater is specifically designed to
retain an ice-free zone (vent) that supports fish and aquatic life
in the pond through the coldest times of the year.
Ice vent pond heater utilizes a unique heat convection design.
This means the Ice Vent requires the minimum of energy to
maintain an ice-free vent in temperatures as low as minus 20°F.
