This document aims to provide the necessary information for proper handling and operation of the BT10 banknote reader, and for solving simple problems. 5. Maintenance procedures 5.1 Sensor calibration Every so often it may be necessary to re-calibrate the sensors. To do this you need a special PC program which checks the calibration. 5.2 Programming banknote inhibition Another maintenance banknote reader procedure is banknote inhibition programming.
5.5 Cleaning the banknote reader The BT10 banknote reader has been designed to operate properly in a wide range of external conditions. However, depending on the setting, it might be necessary to clean its mechanisms every so often. It is recommended that the banknote acceptance area be cleaned.

6. Troubleshooting The following table will help you diagnose the most common banknote reader failures.
