  • Page 28 Automatic stop Thanks to its on-board cameras, XO can automatically stop or pause in certain situations (eg detection of dead chickens, rigid obstacles, low walls, etc). Note: Loss of network or an unreadable TAG can also cause the robot to stop.
  • Page 29: Programs

6 PROGRAMS The XO robot was designed to navigate the entire litter surface autonomously. A program defines the movements of the XO robot in the poultry building. These programs can be used to automate repetitive trajectories. 6.1 NAVIGATION XO compares the data from its sensors with the data recorded in the predefined program to autonomously navigate the environment.
  • Page 30 XO PILOT Teleopération Teleoperation enables operation of the XO robot beyond line of sight by displaying images from the XO cameras directly on the XO PILOT app. Teleoperation exclusively uses the front-facing cameras of the XO robot. The teleoperation range of the XO depends on the communication and network configurations. Using the XO robot requires a good connection between Wi- Fi, the robot and the XO PILOT Tablet.

XO is designed to be used under the supervision of an operator. Be prepared to stop program execution at any time. 6.4 OBSTACLE DETECTION The XO robot uses its perception system to automatically avoid bumping into obstacles. Thanks to LIDAR and its on-board camera system, the XO robot maintains a safe distance of approximately 5 cm with each obstacle encountered..
  • Page 33 XO can't see transparent or reflective materials Moving objects XO cannot predict the trajectories of moving animals/objects XO requires sufficient lighting to function properly. A minimum illumination is required for Tag reading and obstacle detection. Inadequate lighting On the other hand, too high brightness (low windows) can affect the navigation of the robot.

8 MAINTENANCE Octopus Biosafety is part of a sustainable economic and environmental approach and offers customer support over a minimum period of 5 years. The care and maintenance service is intended to keep XO robots in safe and working condition.
  • Page 38: Preventive Maintenance

XO robots are designed on the principle of periodic and preventive replacement of wear parts. Preventive maintenance therefore consists of carrying out interventions at predetermined intervals in order to reduce the probability of failure or degradation of the operation of the robot. The XO robot must remain operational 24/7 in poultry buildings.
