Hook Up Direct Cable TV or Antenna Hooking up to Direct Cable and Antenna Locate the Antenna/Cable jack on the back of your Entertainment Machine. Connect the cable that runs from the wall or from your outdoor antenna directly to this jack.

Main or PIP source. If you want to receive your sig- nals on channel 3 or 4, locate the Out to TV jack. Connect a cable from that jack to the Antenna/Cable jack on the back of your Entertainment Machine.

Moving connected equipment can be dangerous for you and for it. Locate the Variable Out jacks on the back of your TV, and the Input jacks on the back of your stereo’s amplifier. Connect the two jacks, making sure that the right and left channels are placed correctly.

POSSIBLE REASONS FOR ADJUSTING PIP SOURCE 1. You use a cable box to receive premium channels, and have “looped out” on the back of the TV. Set the PIP source to the cable box source, and the Inset will display the premium channels, which can then be swapped with the main picture.

AUX mode, as described on the “Programming Your Remote” page. Select the mode in which you want amplifier volume to appear (e.g. TV). Press and hold PRG on your remote until the indicator light stays lit. Press 4-9-9; then ENTER on the remote.
If your remote becomes inoperable, go back to “Programming your Remote” and enter the Zenith TV code for step five. Turn on the device you’re programming for the remote control.
Maintenance Early malfunctions can be prevented. Careful and regular cleaning can extend the amount of time you will have with your new Entertainment Machine. Be sure to turn the power off and pull out the plug before you begin any cleaning. SCREEN CLEANING 1.

• The CC (closed caption) option may be in Text mode. Select Caption 1, or OFF in the Captions/Text menu.(See page 25). • Your program is in letterbox. This means that the shape of your TV is a square, but the program is a rectangle. Think of the bars as empty space the program doesn’t fill;...

• Check to see if your input source for PIP is set correctly. • Look to see if the TV/VCR button on your VCR has the TV selected. • Automatic: Check to see if PBS Channel is correct and then check Time Zone/Daylight Savings time settings under Clock menu.
