PRE-RIDE SAFETY INSPECTION We recommend that you perform a safety check before each use to make sure your wheelchair operates smoothly and safely. WHEELCHAIR SET-UP Remove your wheelchair from the packaging materials first and confirm all components are present. To set up your wheelchair start by releasing your wheelchair from the fold lock position by unbuttoning the material tab. Then, lift the rear push handles on the back canes to move the seat back into position and ensure it locks into place with the two back hinges.
PRE RIDE SAFETY CHECK SAFE WORK LOAD 1. The Atmos Ultra-lite Transit and Self-Propel wheelchair range has a Safe Work Load (SWL) of 136kg 2. Exceeding the product weight limit may damage the seat, frame, fasteners, upholstery and may result in injury to you or others.
WHEELCHAIR OPERATION OPERATING TIPS 1. Do not lean forward when operating, especially on stairs and uneven surfaces. 2. When turning, reduce your speed and maintain a stable center of gravity. 3. When on any incline or decline, never allow the wheelchair to roll freely while seated in it or standing next to it.
MANUAL WHEEL LOCKS AND HAND BRAKE Your Atmos Self-Propel wheelchair is equipped with two manual rear wheel brakes which can lock into place, one mounted on each rear wheel. Your Atmos Transit wheelchair and the rear caregiver handbrakes is mounted onto the rear handles.
WHEELCHAIR MAINTENANCE It is important to perform proper care of your Atmos wheelchair in order to maintain the life and quality of your product and to ensure your product is functioning properly. 1. Check for loose or missing screws, nuts, and bolts. Replace or tighten them as necessary.
WARRANTY The warranties herein specified shall not apply if the failure of any component of this product is caused by the purchaser or its agent due to accident, neglect, misuse, improper transportation or operation contrary to the manufacturer’s operating instructions, or if any person other than the manufacturer’s authorised personnel shall modify, adjust, or repair such product or perform any related service on it.
