CommBox Edge 6 Quick Start
Loading a KVH Configuration File
If a KVH turnkey configuration will meet your needs (see
"KVH Turnkey Configurations" on page
steps to upload the associated configuration file, available
from KVH Technical Support.
IMPORTANT!
Be sure to use a configuration file that was built for the
Edge 6 and not the Edge 2 device.
1. At the Configuration Wizard, go to the Interfaces page.
Then select Upload Config from Backup.

2. Under Config Upload, select Upload Configuration
Backup. Then navigate to the KVH configuration file
saved on your laptop (filename has a tar.gz extension).
Select Open.

IMPORTANT!
With its new configuration, the IP address for the Edge
6's LAN port changes to 192.168.5.1 and its admin
login password changes – contact KVH Technical
Support. If you need to access the web interface
going forward, use this new address and password.
Edge 6 to apply the new configuration.
The Edge 6 will reboot. It may take 2-3 minutes to
initialize.
