  • Page 2 LVI camera to an iPad.* MagniLink Viewer – an app used to act on images produced by an LVI camera or a built-in iPad* camera. WiFi Adapter (Dongle) – a small USB device that allows a second network connection.

    The iPad must be connected to a MagniWifi network for OCR capability so the MagniLink Viewer software can see the WifiCam’s LVI camera. Once connected to our network, the LVI and iPad cameras may be used as an OCR input device.

    2. Battery indicator - Displays the battery charge level. 3. Power supply - The power adapter is plugged in here. 4. USB ports - Connect the LVI camera here. You can also plug in the WiFi adapter (dongle) to access the Internet.
  • Page 5 It may take 30 seconds for the camera to be found. 9. If the LVI camera is not found, repeat steps 1 – 6. Note that the software may find the iPad cameras but not the LVI camera. See the next step for a hint on determining whether the LVI camera has been found.

  • Page 7 MagniLink WifiCam When the network connections are made in this manner, in this order, you will be able to use the MagniLink network for image transfer from the LVI camera to the Viewer app and the “REGULAR” network to access the intranet/internet as per usual.

  • Page 8: Troubleshooting

    (Note: you may have to restart the MagniLink Viewer app.) LVI camera image freezes. If the Wi-Fi is not strong, the connection between the LVI camera and the iPad may be lost temporarily. Quickly exit MagniLink Viewer and restart the program.
  • Page 9 MagniLink WifiCam Let’s talk about the WiFi adapter (dongle). Without the dongle, it’s a closed LVI network named MagniWifi_serial_number or MagniLink network. The WifiCam communicates with the iPad. Add the dongle and turn the MagniLink network* into a pass-through that gives the iPad access to the Internet network.
