    BASIC INFORMATION Dear Customer, from now on washing will be easier than ever. The Hansa washing machine combines very easy operation and perfect washing performance. After reading these instructions, operating the appliance will be easy. Before being packaged and leaving the factory, the washing ma- chine was thoroughly checked with regard to safety and functionality at test stations.

    SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS In case of damage to the fixed power cable, the cable should be replaced by a qualified person at the manu- facturer‘s or in a specialist workshop in order to avoid hazards. Laundry Use only laundry and care products intend- detergents ed for washing machines.
  • Page 5 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Control panel Protect the control panel from water. Do not deposit wet laundry on the appliance! Transport Disconnect the washing machine from the power supply before transporting it. The washing machine must be adequately se- cured for transport (use transport safety de- vices).
  • Page 6 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Checking the stability After positioning and levelling the washing machine you must check, if the machine stands firmly on all four feet. To do so, press down on each corner of the washing machine to see, if it moves. The correct horizontal position of the washing machine is an essential condition for a safe, reliable and smooth operation.

The water supply hose with the seals is in the washing drum. Min. water pressure 0.05 MPa (0.5 bar), max. water pressure 1 MPa (10 bar). Supply the washing machine with cold water only.

Programme button The user can select an appropriate wash programme according to the degree of soiling, the type and amount of the laundry in order to ensure a better and more efficient result. Once a wash programme has been activated, the turning of the programme button to another position will be indicated by a sound signal, but the parameters of the initially selected wash programme will not be changed.

Button for the additional Rapid Wash function The rapid wash function shortens the total washing time and reduces the energy and water consumption. This function is recommended for heavily soiled laundry. NOTE 1: The Rapid Wash function is not available for all wash programmes (see: Table of the wash programmes).

Sound signal On / Off The sound function is switched on /off by simultaneously pressing and holding the temper- ature and spin speed selection buttons for 3 seconds. 7+8. Child Lock This function blocks the function buttons in order to prevent a modification of the settings or the interruption of the running wash programme.

    SPECIAL PROGRAMMES 1. Baby comfort wash programme This wash programme is intended for children and persons with sensitive skin. The main wash is always at 30°C (the available temperature settings are 40/30/20/-- Cold) and is followed by two rinsing cycles. 2.

    OPERATING THE WASHING MACHINE I. Selection of the drying programme 1. Set the programme button to the required position (see: Table of the wash programmes below). 2. In order to adjust the wash programme to individual requirements, the temperature and spin speed settings can be modified or available additional functions be selected. 3.
  • Page 19 TABLE OF THE RINSE PROGRAMMES * - Standard cotton wash programmes at 60°C and 40°C. These wash programmes are suitable for normally soiled laundry. They are also the most efficient wash programmes in terms of power and water consumption for this type of laundry. Attention: The actual water temperature can differ from the indicated cycle temperature.

  • Page 21 TROUBLESHOOTING Display of the error codes of the washing machine The washing machine has an alarm system, which helps solving minor problems connected with incorrect operation by means of “ERROR CODES” indicated in the display.   • Page 24 PRACTICAL ADVICE V. Water hardness Hard water causes limescale formation in the washing machine. Your waterworks will inform you about the hardness of your water. We recommend to use a water softening agent for each washing. VI. Power outage The programme is not deleted by disconnecting the washing machine from the power supply or a power outage.
