General Safety Instructions IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this type of product. Use of an extension cord does not guarantee the required safety. • After use: Always unplug the appliance and turn off the water after use. Wait until the tub has stopped spinning before opening the lid and removing your wash load.

For example, articles that have been cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or dabbed with industrial chemicals, or combustible or explosive substances (such as wax, oil, paint, petrol, alcohol, degreasers, dry-cleaning solvents, kerosene, etc.).
General Safety Instructions (Cont.) • Water connection: Connect the washing machine to the water mains using new hose sets. Do not reuse old hose sets. The required water pressure is 0.03 MPa (min.) to 0.85 MPa (max.). • Ventilation openings: Do not cover any air inlet or exhaust openings. • Electrical connection: During installation, the power cord must not be excessively or dangerously bent or flattened.
Unpacking Unpacking • This product has been packaged to protect it against transportation damage. Keep the original packaging carton in a safe place. It will help prevent any damage if the product needs to be transported in the future. In the event that it is to be disposed of, please recycle it and all other packaging materials where possible.

Installation Levelling the washer • Install the washer on a stable and level surface, in a dry location, out of sunlight. • Open the lid and look inside the tub. It should be level in the centre of the housing. Use a spirit level to check and ensure the machine is installed level.

Connecting the water inlet hoses The water inlet hoses are supplied separately (in bags inside the washing tub) and need to be installed to your hot and cold water taps following the instructions below. • Check and ensure that the sealing gaskets are firmly in place in the joints of the water tap ends (Fig.
Installation (Cont.) CAUTION! • When tightening the nut, take care not to damage the water inlet valve joint. Apply force evenly and do not twist the water inlet valve. • Use only the new (supplied) hoses with your new appliance. Do not use a hose from an existing machine, or one that has been used previously.

In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, earthing will reduce the risk of an electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-earthing conductor and an earthing plug.

Other Useful Information (Cont.) Cleaning the lint filter (suggested interval: every week) To pull the lint filter out of its space inside the tub, press and hold the hook, as illustrated (Fig. 14). Remove the filter from the filter cover and turn the filter bag inside out (Fig. 15). Wash the filter in warm, soapy water, taking care not the damage any parts (Fig. 16). Then rinse it thoroughly under running water and let it dry naturally. Reinstall the filter, making sure it fits securely behind the cover clasp and latches and locks securely into place (Fig. 17). Pump strainer maintenance We recommend you clean the pump strainer regularly (at least once a month) to avoid blockages created by excess lint, fluff or items such as bobby pins or coins.
