@ POWER switch
This is the main power switch of the set. Normally, leave this switch in
the ON position.
@5) AC POWER cord
@6) POWER button
Press to switch the power of the set between ON and stand-by. In the
stand-by mode, the S-BY indicator lights on the FL display. The
power can also be controlled from the remote control unit of the
$R1030 (SR1040).

62 DIMMER button
Press to switch the brightness of the FL display. Pressing once dims
the display and pressing again returns to the original brightness.
When the set is combined with the SR1030 (SR1040) and DC1010
(DC 1020), this button also controls the FL display panels of these
components (provided that they are connected through the D-BUS).
63) S-INJ. (Sound Injection) button
Press to switch the audio to the audio input from the SR1030
(SR1040) connected to the set.
For example, when this button is pressed to ON while the Input
selector of the AV1030 (AV1040) is set to LD and the receiver is set to
CD, the video source does not change but the audio signal is switched
to the CD signal. This function allows recording by combining desired
audio with the desired video source. The S-INJ indicator in the FL
display lights while the Sound Injection function is ON.
64 COPY button
Press for tape dubbing from VCR1 to VCR2. The contents of tape on
VCR1 can be copied to VCR2 regardless of the SOURCE SELECTOR
setting. In this case, the dubbed video and audio are both those of
VCR1. The V1 = V2 indicator of the FL display lights when this button
is pressed to ON.

G2 INPUT LEVEL control
Turn this control to adjust the input level in the Dolby surround mode.
This control is also effective in other modes than the Dolby mode.
Turning the control counterclockwise decreases the input level or
clockwise to increase it.
The control is usually set to the most clockwise position, but it should
be turned counterclockwise in case the sound is distorted even when
the listening volume is decreased.
G8) BALANCE contro!
Turn this control to balance the L and R levels of the front channel.

OPERATION OF REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
The AV1040/AV1030 can be remote controlled using an optionally-
available remote control unit. In this case, operate the remote control
operation as described in the following.

These buttons are used to enter figures in the selectin
of a tuner
preset station, to set the clock or to set select a CD tack number,
etc. The functions of these buttons are dependent onthe function
button selected.
