PERFORMANCE CHECK
GENERAL
INFORMATION
WARNING: Before switching-on,
ensure
that
the
instrumen
t
has
been
installed in accordance with
the
Installation
Instructions
outlined in Section
2 of
the
Operating
Guide
.
This procedure is intended to:
- Check
the
instrumen
ts'specification.
- Be used for incoming inspection to determine the
acceptabil
ity of
newly purchased instruments and/or recently recalibrated instrument
.
- Check the necessity of recalibration
after
the
specified
recalibration
inter
vals.
NOTE: The procedure does not
check every facet of
the instruments
calibration;
rather, it is
concerned primarily
with those parts
of the
instrument which
are
essential
to measurement
accuracy
and
correct
operation.
Removing the
instrument's covers is
not
necessary
to perform
this
procedure.
All checks
are made
from
the outside of the instrument.
If the test
is started
within
a short period after switching-on, bear
in
mind
that steps
may be
out of specification, due to
insufficient
warming-up time
.
Warming-up time under
average conditions
is 30 minutes.
The performance
checks
are made
with a stable, well-focused,
low-
intensity
display.
Unless

.

At the
start
of every check, the
controls always
occupy the AUTO
SET~ition,
unless otherwise
stated
.
*The input voltage has to be
supplied to the A-input; unless
otherwise
stated. Set
the TIME/OIV
switch
to
a suitable position;
unless
otherwise
stated.
*
Tolerances given are
for the instrument under te
s
t
and
do
not
include test
equipnent error. Bear in mind thet the test
equipment
is
properly
terminated.
*
In some checks channel
B is
mentioned between
brackets ( )
behind channel
A. It is advised to
perform
first channel A
c
hecks
.
After
that the
checks for channel R
can
be
done.
