OPERATION
TO PROGRAM
A PAUSE OPERATION
During programmed
playback, these operations cause the player
to pause at the beginning of tracks for which a pause has been
specified.

When
recording on both sides of a cassette tape, program for a
Pause to occur after the completion of the last track, before the
first side of the tape runs out, to enable recording of the next track
to begin after the tape has been turned over.

When recording on a tape, program for pauses to occur between
tracks, to allow blank intervals or narration to be recorded on the
tape, after which recording can be resumed.
Memorizing a pause program
1.
During stop mode, select a disc number with DISC
SELECT keys (8) and track with [€, >>] keys @).
Press PGM MEMORY key ©.

Press [0] key 43.
Perform procedures 3 and 4 to insert a pause at the begin-
ning of the track selected after procedure 4. A pause is counted
as @ program step.
4.
Press PGM MEMORY key @).
To enter another track into the program,
repeat procedures
1 and 2 above. During playback, there will be a pause at the
beginning of this track.
5.
Repeat procedures
1 to 4.
Up to 24 steps can be programmed.

NOTE:
A peuse cannot be programmed for step 1 {01}, and it cannot be
programmed
for two consecutive
steps and it cannot be pro-
grammed for last step.
Operation example
This is to program the player to playback track 5 of disc I, track
3 of disc Hl, and track 8 of disc I, and to pause at the beginning
of track 8 of disc | after playing back track 3 of disc il.

@ The total playback time of the three tracks is 18 minutes and
23 seconds.
TIMER START
if a disc is set on the disc tray beforehand, then the player will au-
tomatically start playing from track 1 of the first disc when the pow-
er is turned on.
The player can be made to start playing fram a specified time if
use is made of an audio timer.
NOTE:

When using an audio timer, leave POWER switch (1) of the player
turned ON.
