PRINTOUT USING THE STANDARD CHARACTER SET
The following four examples illustrate how to instruct the printer to print standard 0.1-inch
characters in condensed (16.5 CPI), normal (10 CPI), elongated or condensed/elongated character
density.
NOTE
The selected character density is effectively reduced
by half when printing elongated characters.

PRINTOUT OF CHARACTER SEGMENTS TO FORM LARGE CHARACTERS
Segmented character formation requires more than one pass of the print head. On each pass,
0.1-inch geometric character segments are printed according to the line of data. The number of
passes depends on the height of the character (e.g., 0.2-inch high character needs two passes to form
the character, 0.7-inch character needs seven passes).
