Manual SANlight EVO-Series 1.5
By purchasing the SANlight EVO LED-light you have decided on a high-quality product, which will give you much pleasure. Please
read the operating instructions before using your EVO LED-light, as incorrect use can cause damage to the light or to humans/an-
imals/plants. Failure to use the EVO properly will void any manufacturer's warranty and product liability.
Valid for EVO 3-60, EVO 3-80, EVO 3-100, EVO 4-80, EVO 4-100, EVO 4-120, EVO 5-100, EVO 5-120, EVO 5-150, EVO 6-120, EVO 6-150 further denoted as EVO.
ATTENTION: Photobiological safety note:
According to DIN EN 62471, the EVO LED-module corresponds to risk group "exempt". These photobiological safety markings are based on testing of the light output characteristic of a single horticultural luminaire. Increased exposure risk to facility personnel may be present depending
upon the number of horticultural luminaires and their placement and/or positioning within the plant growth facility. It is the responsibility of the plant growth facility to address these risks at the facility level and to ensure that people entering the plant growth areas while the lights are on, are
aware of these risks and that appropriate safeguards are in place. Nevertheless, avoid unnecessarily long irradiation and looking directly into the light source.
Distance to illuminated object
The distance between the LED-light (lower edge of the light) and the illumina-
ted surface or the illuminated object must be at least 15cm.
Scope of application of the light
The SANlight EVO LED-light is only suitable for illuminating plants, even in
wet indoor areas.
Permissible ambient temperature for operation
The SANlight EVO LED-light can be operated up to a maximum ambient tem-
perature of 35°C. The minimum ambient temperature at which the SANlight
EVO LED-light can be operated is 5°C.
Permissible ambient conditions for operation
The SANlight EVO LED-light may be operated up to a max. relative humidity
of 90% (non-condensing).
Required accessories for hanging the lamp
No hanging accessories are included in the scope of delivery. The EVO lamp
may only be hung with sufficient load-bearing suspensions. It is recommen-
ded that the lights are suspended from the suspension eyes using steel
carabiners and ropes. (see figures 1, 2 and 3) The suspension must withstand
a permanent load of at least 8 kg.
Permissible orientation of the LED- light
The SANlight EVO LED-light may only be operated in a horizontally suspen-
ded position. In this case, a minimum distance to surrounding objects of
15cm must be observed. In order to guarantee the correct position, the light
must be suspended from both suspension eyelets. (see Figures 1 and 2) The
light may also be suspended via the outer suspension eyelets, in order to
achieve an inclined position of the light. See Figure 3.
Laying the cables
When laying any cables, make sure that they are strain-relieved. Under no
circumstances should cables be subjected to tension. The cables must be
unwound. The EVO light must not be operated with rolled-up cables. Make
sure, that they are not concealed or extended through a wall, floor, ceiling or
other parts of the building. Also do not locate the cables above a suspended
ceiling and make sure that they are not permanently affixed to the building
structure. Note, that they are laid in such a way that they are not exposed to
stress and are protected from physical damage. Cables must also be visible
along their entire length. Notice, that the maximum ambient temperature for
running the EVO LED-light with the cable is 35°C.
Maintenance and Cleaning
To clean the LED-light, use a dust and grease-free cloth. The lamp must
be disconnected from the mains for cleaning. Never use other aids such as
cleaning agents, damp cloths etc. Make sure that the secondary optics of the
LEDs are not scratched by cleaning.
Works and Repairs
Repairs and works may only be carried out by the manufacturer. If repairs,
modifications and other works are not performed by the manufacturer, the
manufacturer's warranty and product liability expire.
Upgrade Service
The individual LED-modules can be exchanged by qualified personnel. Please
contact the certified SANlight dealer of trust.
Guarantee Policy
This device has been designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with
the European safety standard (EN60598/CE). The guarantee for the LED-light
and accessories is 3 years from the date of purchase.
The guarantee does not apply to equipment that has not been installed
and maintained as specified in this manual. The manufacturer assumes no
responsibility for damage caused by unauthorized or incorrect use. In case of
damage, the device (LED-light incl. connecting cable) must be returned to the
respective SANlight sales partner, from whom the product was purchased.
They send the defective goods to the manufacturer, SANlight. After repair by
the manufacturer, the device is returned to the respective sales partner.

Scope of Delivery
Figure 4 shows all the components of your EVO LED-light. Please check the contents of the packaging for completeness and damage. Never use damaged components. The
mains connection cable is not included and can be ordered separately from your dealer. The scope of delivery includes: 1 x EVO LED-light, Operating instructions.
Installation and Assembly Instructions
Fixing and suspension of the SANlight EVO LED-light: The EVO LED-light can be suspended from the suspension eyelets (see Figures 1, 2 and 3). When suspending the LED-light,
a safety distance of 15 cm to surrounding objects must be observed. Make sure that your suspension is secure and secure the light against accidentally falling.
EVO electrical connection: The EVO LED-light must be connected to the power supply via a separately available SANlight connection cable (see table 1) . It is possible to connect
each light separately or to connect several lights in parallel to each other. For both options SANlight cables must be used.
Electrical connection of one single EVO lamp: To connect each lamp by a separate power cable the following country specific cables can be used. First connect the cable to the
lamp, before connecting to the grid.

Connecting several lamps
Depending on the circuit breaker different numbers of EVO
LED-lights can be connected to one power socket. Please check
table 1.
For connecting more as 7 lamps an inrush current protector has to be used. To connect several lamps to one power socket the following items are needed.
