OPERATION

  1. Make sure the power switch is in the "Off" position before plugging in.
  2. To achieve optimal performance, when powered by the 12V socket, your vehicle's engine should be running while operating your air compressor.
  3. Unwind power cord from the storage compartment of the unit and insert the DC plug into the 12V cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle or use the AC cord into a wall socket.
  4. Pull air hose from compartment.
  5. For vehicle tires: Unlock thumb latch of air nozzle by moving to vertical position (see diagram below) and place air nozzle over valve stem of tire.
  6. Push air nozzle down firmly onto valve stem and quickly lock into place by pressing thumb latch to horizontal position.
  7. For other inflatable items: Select the appropriate adaptor and insert it into the unlocked air nozzle. Lock air nozzle with thumb latch.
Tip: When inflating athletic balls, moisten needle before inserting it into the ball valve.
  8. Press the "+" or "−" set pressure buttons on the digital gauge to set the desired pressure. When the LCD screen is displaying the target PSI, the LCD readout will blink 3 times at the desired preset pressure, and it will then change back to the current pressure of the item that you are inflating.
    • User may press the "Display/Mode" button to read pressure in PSI/BAR/KPA scale.
  9. Slide the power switch to turn the inflator on. The preset pressure can be changed during inflation by pressing the pressure adjusting buttons (+/−) to the new desired pressure. The inflator will shut off automatically at the desired pressure that you have programmed.
    • While in use, the user can slide the power switch to stop the tire inflator before it reaches the preset pressure.
  10. Disconnect the valve adapter and power cord once the inflation is complete. Store your tire inflator.
  11. To reset the air compressor, slide the "On/Off" switch.

DO NOT OVERINFLATE PRODUCTS BEYOND THE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS.

NEVER LEAVE COMPRESSOR UNATTENDED WHILE IN USE.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Use only mild soap and a damp sponge to clean compressor.
  • Do not immerse any part in liquid.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution

The device does not start/blows fuses

  • Push the power plug firmly into the DC socket and twist it back and forth to ensure clean contact.
  • Check DC socket for dirt and particles. Use a non-conductive probe to clean the DC socket. Do not use your fingers or metal.
  • Check vehicle lighter fuse; should be 15 amps minimum.
  • Make sure the shutoff pressure setting is not lower than the current pressure of the item you are inflating.

The device runs but does not inflate

  • Be sure the nozzle always touches the core of the valve stem.
  • Check tire or other item being inflated for leaks.
  • Check hose for breaks and leaks at fittings.

The device runs slowly

  • Overheated from excessive use. Shut it off and let it cool for 30 minutes.
  • Voltage too low. Check condition of battery.

CAUTION

  • Do not overheat the unit! If the compressor is not pumping a steady stream of air and appears sluggish or if metal fittings get too warm to the touch, these are indicators that the compressor has been in operation for too long. Immediately turn off the compressor and allow it to cool for approximately 30 minutes before resuming operation. Never leave compressor unattended while in use.
  • Do not over inflate items beyond their needs. Most car tires will inflate properly between 30 and 35 psi depending upon the tire. Some racing bicycle tires require pressure in excess of 75 psi. Other bicycle tires may require substantially lower pressures. This unit is not fitted for highpressure tires such as those used on large commercial trucks.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Plug into a 12V DC socket or a 120V AC socket, but NEVER both at the same time.
