2 Safety Information SMA Solar Technology AG DANGER Risk of electric shock due to ground fault If a ground fault occurs, parts of the system may still be live. Touching live components can lead to lethal electric shocks. • Prior to touching any components, always disconnect the inverter from all voltage sources as described in this document (see Section 7, page 7).
3 Required Materials Grounding conductor test prior to recommissioning Prior to recommissioning SMA inverters after the installation of SMA components or power assemblies which cannot be replaced intuitively, ensure that the grounding conductor in the inverter is correctly connected. The function of the grounding conductor must be ensured and all locally applicable laws, standards and directives must be observed.

5 Checking the Condition of AC Connectors SMA Solar Technology AG 5 Checking the Condition of AC Connectors Figure 1: Overview of the connection points with connectors to be tested Procedure: 1. Visually check each AC connector for damages. 2. If the AC connector is undamaged, the AC connector should be stabilized (see Section 8, page 8). This can increase the service life.
SMA Solar Technology AG 7 Disconnecting the Inverter from Voltage Sources 3. Ensure that no voltage is present at the AC terminal Grid between conductor L2 and the grounding conductor. Use a suitable measuring device. 4. Ensure that no voltage is present at the AC terminal Inverter between conductor L1 and the grounding conductor.

3. Request 1 replacement cable for each cable with an excessively damaged AC connector. Take one photo per cable. The severely damaged AC connector must be visible in the photo. Contact the SMA Online Service Center, send the photos and state the number of replacement cables required.
