Precautions
troubleshooting
•The namepiate
indicating
the operating voltage
is
located at
the
bottom
of the
Cassette Recorder.
•When
the
Cassette
Recorder
is
not to
be
used
for
an
extended
period of
time,
remove
the
batteries
to avoid
damage
caused by
battery
leakage
and
the subsequent
corrosion.
Do
not
leave
the
Cassette
Recorder
in
a
location subject
to
direct sunlight,
heat or
moisture.
Do
not use the
Cassette
Recorder
where
water
or
sand can
get
into
it.
•Do
not
place
the
Cassette
Recorder with the
cassette
compartment
side facing
down
while
playing
with
it.
Note
on
using
an
AC
power
adaptor
(not supplied)
Use
only
the
AC-E60HG
AC
power
adaptor
(not
supplied).
Do
not use
any
other
AC
power
adaptor.
•There
is
no
sound.
•The sound
is
weak.
•The sound
is
noisy.
•Adjust the
VOLUME
control.
•Check
if
the
batteries
are
inserted
correctly.
Replace
all
the
batteries
with
new
ones
if
they
become
weak.
Move
the
Cassette
Recorder
away
from
the
TV
or computer.
Clean the
tape
heads.
•There
is
acoustic
feedback
(howling).
•Turn
down
the volume.
Move
the
microphone
away
from
the
speaker.
If
you have any
questions or
problems
concerning
your
Cassette Recorder, please consult
your
nearest
Sony
Service
Center.
Maintenance
Clean the heads, the capstan
and
the pinch
roller
from time
to
time with
a
cotton
swab
slightly
moistened with
alcohol. Press
PLAY
so that
you
can see the
parts
to
be
cleaned.
