    The following graphic depicts the Firestorm. Certain aspects of the Firestorm will be marked with a number which corresponds to the numbered list after the graphic defining that element. 1. The Firestorm is fitted in a rugged injection molded ABS housing.

    Firestorm will briefly display the version identifier followed by two horizontal dashes. 4. Use the sound selector buttons on the front of the Firestorm to scroll through the sounds. As you cycle through the sounds, the display will change showing the current number. When you release the button, the selected sound will immediately begin to play.

This action transmits a radio signal to the Firestorm telling it to begin playback of the selected sound. Notice that the sound number you selected is displayed on the TX9 LCD panel on the bottom left side as well as the LCD panel on the Firestorm.

  • Page 10 The performance of your Firestorm will be much better with high-capacity NiMH batteries. On the front of your Firestorm, locate the green LED. This is your low power indicator. When this light begins to blink during operation, it is alerting you that the batteries need replaced or recharged.

    4. Auxiliary Jack Function The AUX jack is provided primarily for the control of FOXPRO decoys and may be suitable for controlling other similar devices. It is NOT intended for the direct control of motors, flashlights, or other devices requiring the internal AUX jack circuitry to switch more than 50 milliamps.

    Keep in mind that any damage to the FOXPRO caller because of improper use of the AUX jack is not covered by the warranty, nor will FOXPRO be liable for damage to any connected devices.

    • For the maximum possible loudness, use one of our optional external speakers, such as the SP108Z. 6. Using External Speakers The Firestorm is equipped with two External Speaker Jacks which allows you to connect to two additional speakers. The internal speakers perform admirably; however, you may encounter situations that require higher volume levels.

    When choosing an external speaker, it is recommended to use one with an impedance rating of 8-ohms. NOTE: Be sure the Firestorm is turned OFF before connecting an external speaker. To connect an external speaker, plug the connector of the external speaker into one of the external speaker jacks.

    7. TX9 Detailed Information The Firestorm features the TX9 remote control. The TX9 includes a graphic display (no printed sound lists), two custom presets buttons that provides you with one button access to your most used sounds, volume level indicator, recall button, an elapsed timer, and battery level indicator for the transmitter battery.
  • Page 16 Turning FOXBANG On and Off 1. To turn FOXBANG on, simultaneously press the Sound Up and Down buttons on your TX-9. Repeat this step to turn FOXBANG off. NOTE: When you activate FOXBANG it will automatically use the previous sensitivity setting. The factory default sensitivity is medium. You may need to adjust this to get the right setting for your firearm.

    8. Programming the Firestorm FOXPRO offers free software for both PC and Mac that assists you in this process. The FOXPRO website contains an extensive library of free sounds and sounds that can be purchased and installed in the Firestorm.

Whether you are storing your FOXPRO game call or decoy away for the summer or just having some down time from calling, it is highly recommended that you thoroughly inspect the unit for any signs of moisture. Moisture (perhaps from rain, snow, condensation, or other) can potentially enter the unit or the battery compartment and cause some serious problems.
