Should the unit be used in any other way or beyond its intended use, it will be considered contrary to provisions and regulated use.

    The heat pump unit is an innovative product planned according to state of the art standards. In combina- tion with other Heliotherm components, the system can become an overall enhanced and highly efficient heating system. Thereby, a trouble free mono-energetic and a bivalent operation is guaranteed even in outdoor temperatures of -25 °C.

The principle in air heat pumps is that, air is used as an energy source. Compared to other systems, this source of energy already exists and does not have to be tapped through digging or drilling.

(Do not store outdoors!) In addition, it may only be positioned vertically and should be pro- tected from direct sunlight.

    Transport Upon delivery the heat pump unit must be immediately inspected for any visible damage which is to bereported immediately to the shipping company. Tipping over the heat pump Risk of serious injury/crushing! CAUTION Caution should be taken when transporting the heat pump unit. Always wear personal protective gear! The heat pump must be transported in its original packaging to its intended installation location.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Air/Water Heat Pump, Basic Comfort Series Setting up for installation Unpack the heat pump unit The heat pump unit is delivered securely bolted down to a wooden pallet and wrapped with cardboard and pa ckaging foil as described in Chapter 8. First, carefully remove the packaging foil and cardboard, which are to be disposed of according to local regulations.
  • Page 19 Remove the safety screws in the corners of the base plate from the pallet. Slide the 4 retaining tabs below the heat pump. The heat pump can now be lifted off the pallet and be brought to the final installation site. Select a site according to Chapter 6.2.

    Prereg.T (pre-reg. time) 12.3 Commissioning The Air/Water Basic Comfort Series heat pump initial commissioning should correspond to the refrige- rant circuit fill amount. This is described in Chapter 13. To ensure proper commissioning it is important to perform all the points as described in the exact order.

    Operation The air/water heat pump operation, regulation and settings are made via the heat pump manager‘s control panel, see separate instructions. Further device operation is described in the heat pump control instruction ma- nual. When commissioning the surface heating, it is recommended that the heating circuits are to be put in operation step by step.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Air/Water Heat Pump, Basic Comfort Series Error The Sensor Comfort Compact Heat Pump Series is a product of highest quality standard, which is designed for a trouble-free operation for many years. However, should the heat pump have an error- dysfunction during its life time, it should immediately be shut-off and checked by a certified and trained specialist.

    15.1.4 Low pressure (evaporating pressure) Safety chain general settings: The low pressure is part of the safety chain and protects the heat pump from too low evaporation pressure below the limit value. Possible causes Solutions Defective fan. Inspect outdoor evaporator for correct wiring. Check heat pump for leakage.

Next, the heat pump system must be disconnected from the main power supply. 18.2 Disconnect from the heating system The heating system must be disconnected from the heat pump by means of shut-off valves to prevent leakage.

    Disposal When disposing of the heat pump unit or parts belonging to the unit, observe all local, national and EU regulation and environmental requirement guidelines regarding recycling instructions and regulations.
