DISPENSER PREPARATION Confirm dispenser compatibility. DISPENSERS REQUIRING WIRING KITS CAUTION Once installed wiring kit must provide minimum of 24” of wire beyond the top of the dispenser. If using FMI listed by report wiring kit; install in accordance with installation instructions provided with the FMI kit.
Step 1 Cut tape at removable side of box. Ensure you cut away from your body and retract blade immediately after use. Open up this side of the box as shown. Step 2 Remove product from box. Ensure you are following proper lifting techniques. Internal valance structure is sitting on foam which will prevent the shroud from making contact with the ground.

Step 3 Remove two acorn nuts and washers from each end of top cover as shown. Total of four nuts and nylon washers need removed. The nuts and washers should be retained for reinstallation. Step 4 Flip box as shown in picture below. Lift outer shell/shroud straight up from internal structure and place on top of box.

Step 5 Cut or tear clear wrapping that is securing internal structure to foam blocks. If cutting, ensure you cut away from your body and retract blade immediately after use. Step 7 Attach valance mounting brackets (MB) to the top of the casting using two ¼-20 x ¾” hex bolts and ¼ flat washers as shown. These are found in hardware package (HBWDO). Before tightening bolts, push brackets towards the inside of the dispenser until they bottom out in mounting slots.

Step 9 Slide wiring kit wires through conduit (EC) and then thread conduit on to conduit connector (EF) by rotating it clockwise until conduit is snug against the rubber gasket. Step 10 Slide bottom plate (BP) over the conduit (EC) and let it rest on top of the mounting brackets (MB).

Step 11 Attach two sets of L-clips (LC) on each side of the assembled valance (AMVWDO) using 3/8" -16 X 1" Hex cap bolts, 3/8" Flat washer, and 3/8" serrated flange nuts. These fasteners are provided in Hardware Bag (HBWDO). Two L-clips (LC) are used at each mounting point.

Step 12 Place the assembled valance (AMVWDO) on top of the bottom plate (BP) and center it equally on all four sides. Ensure that the unit is placed so that the wiring is on the same side as the conduit. Two people and a lift should be used to execute this maneuver.

Step 14 Attach the long flange of the L-Clips (LC) that are attached to the internal structure, to the mounting brackets using 3/8” hex bolts, washers, and keps nuts. These fasteners are provided in Hardware Bag (HBWDO). L-clips (LC), attached to internal structure, can slide left to right as needed for alignment.

Step 16 Remove the wire way cover that is on the side where the wires are located by using a Phillips head screwdriver to remove pan head screws. Place wire way cover and screws in a secure place as you will need them later to re-install wire way cover.

Step 18 Slide wires, and the threaded end of the conduit connector (EF), through 7/8” opening located on the bottom of the wire way. Secure using lock nut provided with conduit connector. Step 19 Tie strain relief knot as shown in picture.

Step 20 Connect the below wires together by following steps A-D below: NOTE: UL Listed twist-on wire connectors (wire nuts) provided have a maximum wire capacity of 4qty #14AWG & 1qty #18AWG wires. Installer is responsible for ensuring the wiring at each connection point does not exceed the maximum wire capacity.

Step 21 Program the timer by following the LOGO! Model 230 RCE LOGIC Timer Programming Instructions (TPM) that were sent with valance. Step 22 Replace wire way cover on internal structure using Philips head screws you removed in step 16. Step 23 Place the outer shell/shroud on top of the internal structure by lining up the bolts protruding from each end of the internal structure with the holes in the top cover.

Step 24 Confirm you have followed each step before restoring electrical power to the dispenser. Valance sign should light up at this point.
Step 9. Remove the flexible conduit (EC) and fitting (EF) from the wiring kit j- box and follow decommissioning instructions provided with the listed wiring kit or dispenser if wiring kit was factory installed.
