Thank you for purchasing the CMU160/
CMU161 Memory Unit.
The CMU1ÖD/CMU161 Memory Unit is
designed exciusively for use with the
C168/C468. Please install the Memory
Unit according to the procedure descrifch
ed in the foliowing.
Tool with a thin tip, such as a pair
tweezers.
1 Be sure to Switch the power of the
transceiver OFF betöre installing
the CMU160/CMU161 on it.
2 Wheninsertingatipoftweezersinto
the round hole on the CMU160/
CMU161, be carefui not to insert it
too deep-
Otherwise. the CMU160/CMU161
may be damaged.
3 WhenattachingtheCMU160/CMU-
161, be sure to piug its connector
securely until the deep. Otherwise,
malfunction or faiiure may resuit.
4 Be carefui never to install the CMU-
160/ CMU161 in a reverse manner.
Otherwise, the CMU160/CMU161
will be damaged.

Installation procedure
1 Remove the battery case from the
transceiver.
Detach the CMU160/CMU161 which
has already been instalied on the
transceiver. To detach, insert a tip of
tweezers into the round hole on the
CMU160/CMU161 and pull it out as
shown in the illustration.
Attach the CMU160/CMU161 onto the
transceiver. To attach, hold the GMU-
160/CMU161 with the surface on
which the components are not mount-
ed facing upward and plug it stralght as
shown in the'illustration.

When the memory unit is instalied in
0168 and power is supplied, the fre-
quency is set to 433.00 MHz and its
display blinks. At that time, reset the
unit as follows.
Once the presetting is carried out, it is
not necessary to reset again. When the
memory unit is instalied in 0468, reset-
ting is not necessary. For details, refer
to page 55 of the Instruction Manual.
Procedures
1 Set the unit to set mode.
2 WhilepressingtheFUNOkey, press
the 3 SFT key.
A dot is displayed at the lower left
Corner (right under the memory
address 1) and the unit enters all
reset access mode.
3 Set the unit to set mode again.
4 While pressing the FUfMO key. press
1 PO key.
