Electrical safety

1. Ensure the rated voltage shown
on the rating label corresponds
with the voltage of the power
supply.
2. Do not operate any appliance
with a damaged power cord
or plug, when the appliance
malfunctions or has been
damaged in any manner.
3. Protect the power cord against
damages. Do not let it hang
over sharp edges, do not
squeeze or bend it. Keep the
power cord away from hot
surfaces and open flames and
ensure that nobody can pull on
or trip over it unintentionally.
4. Do not open the housing under
any circumstances. Do not
insert fingers or foreign objects
in any opening of the appliance
and do not obstruct the air
vents.
5. Protect the appliance against
heat. Do not place close to
open flames or heat sources
such as stoves or heating
appliances.

Installation

Hang the appliance up or place it on a stable and
levelled surface at least 2 m off the ground and
out of reach of children. Ensure your place of
choice can carry the weight without damage or
material failure.
Preferably choose a location protected from other
light sources, as these may impair the insects'
interest for the appliance.
Avoid exposing the appliance to a draft, as this
may help insects to escape.

Cleaning and Care

Before cleaning, always switch off and unplug
the appliance and wait at least 1 minute for the
electric load to be discharged.
Do not clean the appliance with steel wool, strong
chemicals, alkaline, abrasive or disinfecting
agents, as they may damage the surface of the
appliance.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other
liquids to clean it. Make sure that the electrical
parts of the appliance do not become wet or
damp.
Clean the body with a soft damp cloth and, if
necessary, a little mild detergent. Wipe with a dry
and soft cloth.
Regularly remove insect remains from the guard
(5) and empty the insect collecting tray (8).
Brush out the housing, guard (5) and insect
collecting tray (8) with a soft brush.
Frequency of cleaning is dependent on the
amount of insects in your home and the frequency
of use.
The appliance may only be used again or stored
after it is dried completely.

Discarded electric appliances are
recyclable and should not be discarded
in the domestic waste! Please actively

protecting the environment by returning
this appliance to the collection centres.
Dispose of packaging in accordance to
applicable legal regulations.
