"Steam & Control Technologies" 2. DESCRIPTION & FUNCTIONS The Bottom Blowdown Valve BCV 700 opens in response to a signal from the Smart Bottom Blowdown Controller BC 700 according to determined frequency and duration of the blowdown. The bottom blowdown valve enables a fast opening which is necessary for the blowing down. This fast opening causes a suction in the boiler whereby deposits solids are flushed out of the boiler. -

Installation, commissioning and maintenance of this device must be done by a qualified person in compliance with the operating instructions. 4.1 Installation The automatic Bottom Blowdown Valve BCV 700 must connected to the outlet of the boiler bottom connection with "ARROW" as shown below. proper sealing must be used between flanged. Wiring between controller and limit switch, 2x1 mm normal cable can be used. - Page 7 BCV 700 Automatic Bottom Blowdown Control Valve "Steam & Control Technologies" 4.3 Compressed Air Supply To fit solenoid valve assembly to the Bottom Blowdown Valve actuator: Connect the compressed air supply to port 1 (¼" BSP) on the solenoid valve which is fitted to the actuator.
