2. PRODUCT FEATURES
• There are three types of target indication: sound, vibration, sound
& vibration.
• LED light is useful in dark area.
• The detector memorizes the used setting when power is turned off.
• The sealed design allows detecting in many environment including
grass, mud, dirt, sand or even in the rain or 20 meters under water.
Before submerging the detector make sure the battery compartment
seal is secure.
3. BATTERY INSTALLATION
To open the battery compartment, rotate the battery cover count-
er-clockwise.
Connect a standard 9 V alkaline battery to the battery connector
and insert the battery into the detector making sure the polarity is
matched correctly. Then turn the battery cover clockwise until hand
tight to assure a water-tight seal.
4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Press the power button to turn on the detector. The detector will
give a sound and vibrate. A steady light in the LED light will indicate
that the unit is ready for operation.
• In order to turn off the detector, press the power button for about
two seconds.
Note:
• If no metal is detected within twenty minutes, the detector will
automatically turn off.
• The detector memorizes the used setting when power is turned off.
Low battery indication: If the unit gives a sound, vibrates and also the
LED light flashes continuously for about 15 seconds, this indicates
that the battery power is low. You have to replace the battery.
5. DETECTING A TARGET
After turning on the detector, you can start detection. First you can
select one type of target indication by pressing power button.
1. Press power button once to get sound indication. When target is
located, the detector indicates only with sound.
2. Press power button twice to get vibration indication. When target is
located, the detector indicates with only vibration.
3. Press power button three times to get both sound and vibration
indication. When target is located, the detector indicates with both

sound and vibration. Sound and vibration pulses increase, the closer
the detector is to a detected target. The quantity of pulses is propor-
tional to the target size and distance. The bigger the target, or the
closer the detector is to the target, the higher the pulse count.
Note: The detector will suspend the operation after continuous
detection of same target for about 10 seconds in order to save battery
power. At this time the LED light will stay light. The detector will
recover the detection for new target after about 1 second.
WARRANTY
Tarmo metal detectors are carefully manufactured and undergo qual-
ity testing before leaving the factory. If, however, you find a material,
installation or manufacturing fault in your device, it will be dealt with
under our warranty either by repairing the product free of charge or
by replacing the defective device with a new one. The Tarmo Pinpoint-
er Metal Detector SI03 warranty period is valid for 24 months from the
date of purchase. The warranty is only valid upon proof of purchase
showing the seller store's name, identifying product details, and the
date of purchase. The warranty does not cover wear and tear caused
by use, or defects arising from wear and tear. The warranty does not
cover damage caused by use violating the instructions in the manual.

2. TUOTTEEN OMINAISUUDET
• Laite ilmoittaa löydöksestä yhdellä kolmesta tavasta: äänimerkillä,
värinällä tai äänimerkin ja värinän yhdistelmällä.
• LED-valo on kätevä pimeässä.
• Laite tallentaa käytetyt asetukset, kun virta sammutetaan.
• Tiivis rakenne mahdollistaa metallinpaljastuksen monenlaisissa
ympäristöissä, kuten ruohikossa, mudassa, maaperässä, hiekassa ja
jopa sateessa tai 20 metrin syvyydessä vedessä. Varmista, että paris-
tokotelon kansi on tiiviisti kiinni ennen kuin upotat laitteen veteen.
3. PARISTOJEN ASENNUS
Avaa paristokotelon kansi kiertämällä kantta vastapäivään.
Kytke tavallinen 9 V:n alkaliparisto paristoliittimeen navat merkintöjen
mukaisesti ja asenna paristo laitteeseen. Käännä sitten paristokotelon
kantta myötäpäivään kunnes se on tiukasti ja vesitiiviisti kiinni.
4. KÄYTTÖOHJE
• Käynnistä metallinpaljastin painamalla virtapainiketta. Laite antaa
äänimerkin ja värisee. Jatkuvasti palava LED-valo ilmoittaa, että laite
