Removal and Replacement Procedures
Rack Warnings
A
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, make sure
that the rack isadequately stabilized before extending a
component outside the rack. A rack may become unstable
if more than one component isextended forany reason.
Brtend only one component at a time.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury ordamage
to the equipment, be sure that:
■ The leveling jacks are extended to the floor.
■ The full weight of the rack restson the leveling jacks.
■ The stabilizers a re attached to the rack if it isa single rack
installation.
■ The racksare coupled togetherin multiple rack
installations

WARNING: To reduce the riskof electric shock or damage
to the equipment:
■
Do not disable the powercord grounding plug. "Ihe
grounding plug isan important safety feature.
■
Plug the powercord into a grounded (earthed) electrical
■
Install the power supply before connecting the power
cord to the powersupply.
■
Unplug the powercord before removing the power
supply from the server.
■
If the system has multiple power supplies disconnect
powerfrom the system by unplugging all powercords
from the power supplies

CAUTION: The Compaq ProUant Server must alwaysbe
operated with the system unit cover on. Proper cooling will
not be achieved if the system unit cover is removed.
