The Speakerphone has a 1/4" threaded hole in the centre of its underside, which can be used to screw it onto a tripod, for example.
We recommend you use only the supplied USB cable to charge the battery.
The speaker phone can be charged quickly via USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) using the primary USB-C connector.
To quickly charge the device's battery, the power consumption must be up to 30 W depending on the charger's performance according to the PPS (programmable power supply protocol) of the USB-PD 3.0 standard.
The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone can also be used to charge other devices (e.g. smartphones).
You can operate the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone with a PC or laptop using a USB cable connection.

A USB Bluetooth adapter is required to enable a wireless Bluetooth connection to a laptop or desktop PC while ensuring compatibility and synchronisation of the corresponding commands from related communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom. The standard Bluetooth protocols of laptops and desktop PCs do not support these commands.
The USB WL Adapter (available as an option) has a pairing button to allow it to be connected to a beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone. It can be stored on the underside of the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone.
For more information, please refer to the operating instructions of your USB Bluetooth adapter.

The two SPACE MAX devices connect via True Wireless.
When the two devices are successfully paired, you will hear "cascade successful"
Check that both SPACE MAX devices are connected.
The connection is intended for connecting two beyerdynamic SPACE MAX devices in conference cascade mode. For this, two speaker phones are connected via the jack socket with a beyerdynamic cascading cable (to be ordered). Pairing with the output device is done via one of the two speaker phones connected with the cable.
The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone can be paired with several Bluetooth-enabled devices.
In normal mode, up to eight devices can be paired. In business mode, only one device can be paired.
Active connections are possible with up to two devices at a time. However, playback of music and phone operation is only possible with one device at a time. Phone operation has priority over playback of music, i.e. playback of music is interrupted during phone calls.
Priority list when using the playback devices (PD):
PRI. | Profile | Playback devices (PD) |
1 | HFP (phone operation) | PD 1 (device used first) |
2 | HFP (phone operation) | PD 2 (device used second) |
3 | A2DP (playback of music) | PD 1 (device used first) |
4 | A2DP (playback of music) | PD 2 (device used second) |
