This provides the best protection and prevents damage.

Securing your Device

The Speakerphone has a 1/4" threaded hole in the centre of its underside, which can be used to screw it onto a tripod, for example.

Charging the battery

We recommend you use only the supplied USB cable to charge the battery.

  1. Use the cable supplied to connect the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone to any standard-compliant live USB-C socket (e.g. USB power adapter) via the USB-C port. If necessary, use a USB adapter (see „Scope of delivery").
  2. Remove the USB cable after charging.

Quick charge

The speaker phone can be charged quickly via USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) using the primary USB-C connector.
To quickly charge the device's battery, the power consumption must be up to 30 W depending on the charger's performance according to the PPS (programmable power supply protocol) of the USB-PD 3.0 standard.

Remarks on the life of Li-ion batteries

  • When fully charged, disconnect the USB cable from the charging unit and the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone.

  • High temperatures, especially with a high charge level, can cause irreversible damage.
  • If the battery is not used or is stored for extended periods of time, it is recommended to charge it to approx. 50% and store it at no more than 20°C.
  • Switch off the battery-powered product after use.

Power bank function

The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone can also be used to charge other devices (e.g. smartphones).

  • Connect the device to be charged (e.g. smartphone) to the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone with the secondary USB-C port using the USB cable.
Charging starts automatically. An LED next to the USB-C port indicates that an external device is being charged. The LED lights up red.

Displaying the battery charge level

  • Briefly press the button once.
The charge level is displayed via the LED ring.
