procedure.

GX-221
will
record any
source
which
can
be
selected
on
the external amplifier.
RECORDING FROM A TURNTABLE
To
record
from
a stereo
or
monaural disc,
a
crystal pick-up
(0.5
to
1
V) or
a
cermic
pick-up
can be connected
directly
to
the Input
Jacks
in
step
(E) of
recording
procedure.
However

magnetic cartridge

used,

must
be
connected
to
the
Input
Jacks
through
an
external amplifier.
TAPE DUBBING
When
recording
from
another tape recorder, connect
the
Output
Jacks
of
the playback
machine
to
the
Input
Jacks
of model GX-221

of recording
procedure.

position
and
depress
Sound-On-Sound
Button.
Depress
3-2 Track
Selector
Switch
for
recording
on
track
3
while monitoring
track

headphones.
Insert microphone
plug
into
right Microphone
Jack.
Adjust
right
Recording Levei
Control while
observing
right VU
Meter.
Connect
stereo
headphones
for
monitoring
the
first
recording.
Depress
Recording
Safety
Button and set

second
recording, i.e.,
Mi-Fa-So1.
As

second
recording,
Mi-Fa-Sol,
is
made
on
track
3,
the first
recording,

The
third
and subsequent Íecordings
are made
in
the
same
wa-v
as
the
second
by
alternating
tracks
1-4 and
3-2.
For
playback,
set
Track Selector Switch
to
track
on which the last
recording
was
made
and
set
Monitor
Switch
to
TAPE position.
