UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is
missing. Replace the missing part before operating.
Failure to do so could result in a malfunction and
personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and
inspect for damage.
OPERATION
1.
Insert the circuit tester into the 7-way trailer connector
receiver. The handles should be horizontal with the LEDs
facing upward.
2.
Have an assistant in the vehicle cycle through each
vehicle signal and then apply the brakes.
3.
An LED will glow when an electrical signal is received
from the connector. Consult the table to confirm the
signal is received at the correct connector.
4.
A signal at the wrong LED indicates the wiring receiver
on the vehicle is incorrect. Make a note of which wire
and terminal is showing an error. Continue testing at
least one other terminal must also be wired incorrectly.
5.
Once all terminals are tested, rewire the connections in
the wiring receiver. Retest all connections until all LEDs
glow at the correct signal.
Constant Light
Brake pedal is depressed.
Tail/Marker lights are turned on.
Brake pedal is depressed.
The light will remain on when the power is connected.
Brake pedal is depressed or manual override on the brake controller is pressed.
Vehicle gear is in reverse.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the tool
does not function properly or parts are missing. If unable to
do so, have a qualified technician service the tool.
