ViviCam 25 Owner’s Manual Rev 1 2. Inserting the Batteries - Press the lower side and pull downward with your thumb to open the battery door. Insert two AA batteries noting the correct polarity. Close the battery door.
4. Power-on the ViviCam 25 - After inserting the AA batteries, press the Mode button to power on the camera. The LCD will turn on and the camera is ready. The Status LCD will display as shown: Icon Meaning Image counter showing the number of images currently stored in camera memory.

6. Using your ViviCam 25 The ViviCam 25 has two modes – capture and stand-by. In standby mode the battery is inserted, but the LCD is off and the camera is conserving power. To activate capture mode, press the Mode button once to power on the unit. The LCD will come on and the camera is ready to capture an image.

7. Installing the ViviCam 25 camera driver Note: You must install the ViviCam 25 driver software before connecting the camera to your PC for the first time. (This applies to all versions of Windows 98SE/Me/2000/Xp) 1. Insert the product CD-ROM into your PCs CD-ROM drive. It will run automatically and display a Welcome Screen.

ViviCam 25 Owner’s Manual Rev 1 It will open the ViviCam 25 Graphical User Interface (GUI). Click on the ‘DOWNLOAD’ icon to download small thumbnail-sized representations of the images stored in camera memory. Thumbnail images will appear in the twelve cells in the GUI.

After the ‘Preview’ icon is checked, it will display live video from your ViviCam 25. You may record live video to your PC using the ViviCam 25 and the PCCam utility. Click on the ‘Capture’ menu, followed by ‘Start Capture’ to setup the capture process.

ViviCam 25 Owner’s Manual Rev 1 Enter a name for your new video by creating a filename such as ‘MYVIDEO.AVI’. The first time you use the PCCam program to record a video, it will present a dialog box as shown to the right. This dialog box asks that you specify the maximum file size (the upper size limit) for a recorded video.

Note 2: Recorded video files can become quite large. A video file can take up to 10 MB per second of video at 640 x 480 (VGA) resolution. Video files recorded at 320 x 240 will be considerably smaller.
