Its contents are important for anyone who uses, operates or maintains an AXS 140 Natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (hereafter known as NSHEV) and access hatch - a copy of it needs to be kept near to the control box. -

If the upstand is of steel construction, fix the ventilator base to the upstand using 5.5 x 25 self drilling/tapping screws with sealing washers at a minimum 200mm centres. Page 22: Inspection, Maintenance And Repair
Furthermore, if non-OEM parts are used, then the CE marking is invalid for an NSHEV certified according to EN 12101-2. Necessary repairs may be carried out either by a specialist company authorized by Colt or Colt itself. In special cases it may be necessary to make temporary repairs. -

• Safety goggles Any sources of energy (e.g. batteries) need to be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Colt can take care of this for you. Electric actuators and EPDM seals also need to be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
