    PRE-REQUISITE Before beginning actual installation, it is essential to have full knowledge of the environmental, mechanical, and electrical pre-requisites that BITRON prescribed, in order to complete the task safely and effectively. Compliance with the pre-requisites below does not by-pass the duty to conform to the norms, procedures, and any local restrictions in force at the time of installation, application of which is the sole responsibility of the installer.

    AC WALL Socket & Plug – Installation Manual  Make sure there are no heat or electromagnetic sources in the vicinity of the charging station, and that the place chosen is sufficiently ventilated.  Positioning must take into account the practicality and simplicity of accessing the vehicle's connector using the cable available (provided or at the station), without making charging operations difficult or possible dangerous.

This device acts in the same way as a "SHUTTER" on stations fitted with a socket, but without mechanical fixing of the connector.

Single or three-phase power supplies have typical current parameters that result in substantial differences in the electrical infrastructure.

    “DIP-Switch” (2) are positioned to the right. For higher current requirements, manual setting is mandatory. Wired communication options “AC Wall SOCKET” and “AC Wall PLUG” charging stations, offer multiple wired communication solutions for external devices, with which they can interact to provide additional functions related to the context and needs.

This must only be activated for the stations at the beginning and end of the chain, but not those in between that is, from the second to the penultimate.

    6.6.1 BLE (Bluetooth) and Wi-Fi Connections Irrespective of the model, all “AC Wall SOCKET” and “AC Wall PLUG” charging stations offer the standard possibility of wireless connection via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Low Energy. The priority default connection set is the BLE when the unit is switched on for the first time, but can easily be deactivated and replaced by a Wi-Fi connection, using the installer's APP.

Before starting, the installation procedure described in the previous chapter must have been completed, according to your needs.

    Other types of communication The “AC Wall SOCKET” and “AC Wall PLUG” charging stations series offer many communication possibilities, managing the specificity of many protocols used for satisfying different needs. By way of example, of these we wish to point out native management of the OCPP JSON 1.6 (Open Charge Point Protocol) standard that defines interactions between the charging station and a remote central system, simplifying transactions, diagnostics, security, and a lot more.

    7.10 Reinstating default configuration The “AC Wall SOCKET” and “AC Wall PLUG” charging stations provide the possibility of reinstating the default or original configuration parameters in two different ways:  Installer’s APP – This can be used to reinstate the original configuration in place when receiving the product, without having to open the charging station or disconnecting the power supply.

To the left, a few centimetres from the (1) button there is the TAMPER (2) button of the same shape and size, but with specific functionality, and this must not be touched (see the information note).

The charging station will run a self-diagnosis cycle again after the original configuration has been loaded again, which corresponds to activating the "Ready-to-Charge" function. H.     User luminous interface The “AC Wall SOCKET” and “AC Wall PLUG” charging stations series have a luminous interface based on two vertical LED strips (1), which can also be seen when there is intense ambient light. The various colours and flashing of the LEDs provide a simple, unequivocal description of the operations in progress and the status of the charging station.

If, after about 10-15 seconds the light does not turn GREEN, contact the Assistance Service or the installer to ask for intervention.

    There is a specific APP available for the user that must be installed on their terminal to interact with “AC Wall SOCKET” and “AC Wall PLUG” charging stations. Depending on the model and physical connections to any external devices, it is possible to use some functions in addition to the simple process of charging a vehicle.

    AC WALL Socket & Plug – Installation Manual MAINTENANCE The charging station does not require a particular level of maintenance or a programme with fixed, imperative deadlines. Nevertheless, we recommend checking correct functioning during daily charging and reporting any anomalous behaviour.

    AC WALL Socket & Plug – Installation Manual Extraordinary maintenance Extraordinary maintenance means the tasks that can only be completed by a qualified professional (the criteria are described in the "PRE-REQUISITES" chapter). Even though not obligatory, we strongly recommend planning periodic preventive maintenance works that make it possible to determine good functioning of the charging station and the electricity infrastructure to which it is connected.

    10.1 Prescriptions and symbols When decommissioning, the “AC Wall SOCKET” and “AC Wall PLUG” charging stations and their packaging are to be dealt with as WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment), as prescribed by European Directives 2012/19/EU and 2018/849/EU.
