The Ultrastar Edge can be transported using either the Ruggedized Transit Case or Commercial Transit Case. The system may also be installed into a datacenter rack using optional rack mounted rails.
The Ultrastar Edge leverages the speed of Ultrastar DC SN640 NVMe SSDs and a high-speed storage interface to perform high-speed data ingest. Moving large amounts of data securely with the Ultrastar Edge can be significantly faster than with the typical 10GbE network interfaces found in other data transfer appliances.
