    SECTION 4 - PROGRAMMING GUIDE pickering MODULE ARCHITECTURE - SPST VERSIONS The 40/42-161A-001, 40/42-161A-002 and 40/42-161A-003 modules are arrays of 16, 12 or 10 uncommitted SPST relays. In the default state, all signal paths are open. Energising a particular relay closes the contacts and creates a path between the C and A terminals.

In the default state, all signal paths are between the C terminal and the corresponding B terminal. Energising a particular relay breaks the C to B connection and creates a path between the C and A terminals.
