  • Page 3 Instruction Manual - ENGLISH This brief guide enables you to start a game with your brand-new ChessGenius computer. For a full explanation of the computer’s features, see the instruction manual which you can download from the Millennium website www.computerchess.com in the download section.
  • Page 4 3. Play a game Once the language is selected, the screen shows the chessboard with the pieces in the starting position. You can now begin a game with the computer. Place the chess pieces (supplied with the package) on the membrane board, with White at the end next to the controls.
  • Page 5 Retracting and replaying moves To retract a move, press the  button, then move the piece back, pressing the squares indicated in red. You may then play a different move. Alternatively, the retracted move can be replayed by means of the  button. By repeated use of ...

Hint Asks the computer to suggest a move for you. You may accept by playing the move or reject the suggestion by playing a different one.     Symbole in der untersten Zeile: Ein lächelndes Gesicht besagt, dass Sie am Zug sind. Ein Gesichterpaar zeigt an, dass sich der Computer im „2-Spieler-Modus“ (siehe 7. Abschnitt) befindet. Eine steigende/fallende Säule zeigt, dass der Computer über seinen Zug nachdenkt. Der Strich unter dem Symbol gibt an, ob Weiß oder Schwarz als nächstes spielt. Züge zurücknehmen und wiederholen Um einen Zug zurückzunehmen, drücken Sie , dann setzen Sie die Figur zurück, indem Sie die rot markierten Felder drücken.

Sonderfunktionen – das Hauptmenü Wenn während des Spielverlaufs das Wort MENÜ unten rechts auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt wird, kann durch Drücken der GRÜNEN Taste ein Menü mit Befehlen zur Aktivierung der speziellen Funktionen des Computers angezeigt werden. Durch wiederholtes Drücken von  oder  können Sie die vollständige Liste der Funktionen überprüfen und sie eine nach der anderen „markieren“.

    De streep onderaan toont de kleur aan zet. Zetten terugnemen en opnieuw uitvoeren Om een zet terug te nemen, druk je op de knop  en zet je het stuk terug, waarbij je op de rood aangegeven velden drukt. Je kunt vervolgens een andere zet spelen. Tevens kan de teruggenomen zet opnieuw worden gespeeld met behulp van de knop .
