Video connections
Select either 525

Note: Switching from

lines or vice versa

effective after a power down or reset.

Connect your TV or monitor to either:
-the
RG B
output socket
-the
Y/C (S-Video)
output socket
-the VIDEO
(CVBS) output socket (yellow).
The RGB
output provides
th
e best quality
video
. The
Y/C
(S-Video) output
provides a
better quality video signal compared
to the
broadcast
te
levision
quality of the
CVB
S
output.
North
America and Japan use the
'525-line
'
television system
(NTSC}
625 lines (PAL, SECAM)
Connect your TV or monitor to
-the RGB
output socket.
These connections are on the
MMC
module. The one
you use
depends on the
input
sockets provided on
you
r TV
or monitor.
Note:
Not connectable to 15 pin VGA Connector.
Use the
included
CVBS
cable (USA version only), or order the
interface cable SBC
1134
for a TV or
monitor
w
ith
a
Euroconnector.
Europe
and
many other countries use the '625-line' television
system
(PAL
or
SECAM).
Check
th

TV or monitor manual or
contact your dealer.
Audio connections
Audio reproduction
can
be heard
via
your
TV
and/or
monitor
or
via
yo
ur Hi-Fi
system.

INSTALLATION
If
you are
using
your
TV
or monitor
fo
r
audio reproduction,
connect the two Cinch (RCA) connectors - Red
(Right
channel
-20)
and White (Left channel-21)
on
the back of the MMC
module
wi
th the
stereo audio cable or a
Euroconnector
cable
to
the TV
or monitor.
Otherwise, connect the
Hi-Fi
system
via
the two
Cinch
(RCA)
connectors, Red (Right channel) and
Wh
ite
(Left channel) on
the back
of
the MMC
module.
Note:
Do
not connect the Cinch
(RCA)
outputs on the MMC
module
to
the phono
inputs
of
the
Hi-Fi system.
Headphones
can be connected
via
the PHONES socket (12) on
the
front
of
the MMC module
(see
flap).
Inserting batteries in the remote control
The
CD-I
remote
control uses three
1 .5
vo
lt batteries.
(We
recommend
alka line
batteries
type
R6, LR6 or AA)
Remove
the cover plate from the battery compartment
located
at the back
of
the remote control.
Insert
the
3
batteries in the
battery
compartment as shown.
Replace the cover plate.
Note:
The battery
life is
approximately 20 hours of continuous
use.
