Filling the absorber
1.
Open the bonnet, then fix the vacuum pump to the bonnet with hooks.
2. Remove the cap of the radiator or coolant reservoir. Totally drain the cooling agent at an appro-
priate spot. The maintenance manual of your vehicle tells you how to proceed.
3. Connect an appropriate vehicle-specific adaptor or the universal adaptor to the radiator/reser-
voir (see Figg. 4 and 5).
4. Make sure that valve 3 is set to "On" and valve 7 to "Off" (see Fig. 6).
5. Connect the vacuum pump to the pneumatic source and set the "On/off" switch to "On" (see
Fig. 7). Set valve 3 to "Off" as soon as a pressure of 0.67–0.84 bar has been reached (see
Fig. 8).

6. Connect the coolant hose to the vacuum pump and put the hose in a container with cooling
agent.
7. Make sur that valve 3 is set to "Off" before starting to fill in the coolant.
8. Make sure that the hose is filled with coolant.
9. Set valve 7 to "On" so that the coolant is sucked from its container (see Fig. 9).
10. As soon as the gauge displays zero, the radiator should be filled enough; otherwise, repeat.
