You have bought an external enclosure to be used together with a 2.5"
SATA hard disk drive.
Please follow the step by step guide on how to get started with your
product.
Installation
1. Use the screwdriver to open the enclosure by unscrewing the screws.
Then slide the parts apart.
2. Now you need to insert your hard disk drive into the external enclosure.
Make sure the hard disk drive is inserted correctly.
3. Then put the lid back again and remount the screws.
During the next step you need to connect the external enclosure with the
hard disk drive inside to your computers USB port.
4. Connect the included USB cable to the USB port of your
external enclosure.
If your computer is on and working, your operating system will tell you that
a new hardware is found and install the external enclosure as a hard disk
drive device. Your external enclosure together with your hard disk drive is
now ready to use.
If your hard disk drive is new and not formatted you first need to format
and manage the hard disk drive in you operating systems disk utility.
Please consult the operating systems help pages for more information.
Please note that you should not format a hard disk drive if it contains data
you need to keep as formatting the hard disk drive will erase all data.
