SpeakerSelectionand Placement
Theplacement of speakers i na multichannel home
theater s ystem canhavea noticeable impact o nthe
quality of soundreproduced. Nomatterwhichtype or
brandof speakers is used,the samemodelor brand
of speakershouldbe usedfor the leftfront,center
andrightfront speakers. [his createsa seamless
frontsoundstage andeliminates t he possibility o f dis-
tractingsonicdisturbances t hatoccurwhena sound
movesacrossmismatched f iont-channel speakers.
SpeakerPlacement
Depending on the typeof center c hannel s peaker i n
useandyourviewing device, placethe centerspeaker
eitherdirectly above or below yourIV, or inthecenter
behind a perforated frontprojection s creen.
Oncethe center c hannel s peaker i s installed, pos)t)on
the leftfrontandrightfrontspeakers s o thattheyare
asfaraway fromoneanotl_er asthe centerchannel
speaker i sfrom the preferred l istening p osition. Ideally,
thefront-channel speakers s houldbe placed sothat
theirtweetera a renomorethan24" above or below

Depending o n the specifics of yourroomacoustics
andthe typeof speakers i n use,youmayfindthat
imaging is improved bymoving the leftfrontandright
frontspeakers s lightlyforward of thecenterchannel
speaker. If possible, adjustall frontloudspeakers so
thattheyareaimedat earheight w henyou'reseated
inthe listening position.

process areto program the AVR2253 bassmanage-
mentsystemforthe _ype of speakers usedinyour
system, c alibrate the outputlevels, a ndsetthe delay
timesusedbythe surround soundprocessor,
