Assembly Instructions
Step 1 – Preparing for installation
A.
Disconnect electrical power at fuse or circuit breaker box before installing or servicing any part of this
fixture.
B.
Carefully remove the fixture from the carton, remove components from hardware kit.
C.
Separate fixture front diffuser (4), fixture metal cover (3) and fixture channel housing (1) from each other.
Detach wire connectors (5) for easier access to mount.
D.
Select appropriate knockout and remove for wiring connections.
E.
Install channel housing (1) to the ceiling over the junction box (not included) using two wood screws (2)
or anchor bolts (not included) to secure it.
Wiring – All wiring must take place inside junction box (not included)
Caution: Make sure power is off at fuse or circuit breaker box. Check power wires for damage or
scrapes. If power supply wires are within three inches of the LED driver, use wire suitable for at least
90°C (194°F). Note: Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wire rated to 60°C. Consult a qualified
electrician to ensure correct branch circuit conductor before installing.
Step 2 – Wiring fixture
A.
Make all wire connections to appropriate wire. Secure with wire nuts (provided).
B.
Connect both green leads from fixture and battery housing to the supply power source ground wire.
Connect white battery housing lead marked "emergency driver WHITE AC-N (continuous)" to the white
C.
(N) wire from continuous supply power source.
Connect black battery housing lead marked "emergency driver BLACK AC-L (continuous)" to the black
D.
(L) wire from continuous supply power source.
Connect the "SWITCH LINE BLACK" from the fixture to the black (L) wire from wall switch supply power
E.
source.
F.
Connect the battery power cell clear connector (red and black wire) together. Note: battery power cell
maybe fully charged from factory, therfore take caution as this is now fully energized and fixture will come
on even under no AC power to the fixture has been restored. In the event it doesn't come on is due to low
charge battery condition and will need to be recharged for 24hrs minimum to maintain fully charged when
power is restored.
G.
Do not mix wires. Pull on each wire lead to make sure connections are secure. Make certain no bare
wires are exposed outside of wire connectors. Tuck all connections neatly into junction box.
Step 3 – Fixture cover installation
A.
Ensure power mating pair connector (5) is fully connected. Slightly tilt front metal cover onto its side to engage three
locking tabs on the side of the channel housing then rotate to the opposite side and squeeze the side of the channel until
cover is fully secured on to the housing.
Step 4 – Color changing temperature adjustment, CCT (if desired)
A.
Adjust CCT switch on the LED board to the desired color temperature of 3000K or 4000K.
Note: Fixture is preset to 4000K from factory.
Step 5 – Diffuser installation
A.
Align one edge of the diffuser (4) on to the side groove of the metal cover (3). Then apply pressure on the middle of the diffuser with thumb slightly enough
to expand the other side outward to catches on the opposite side. Ensure diffuser is fully secured to the metal cover.
Step 6 – Restore power at fuse or circuit breaker box
