WARNING AND CAUTIONS
(™) Use This Product Safely
For Installation
e Ask a trained technician to instal! the unit. tnstallation and wiring require training and experience.
To be safe, ask the sales outlet where you purchased the unit to perform the installation.
Use the Correct Power Supply
e This product is designed to operate with a 12-V DC, negative ground battery system.
Handling
e Do not expose the product to water or excessive moisture. This may cause short circuits and
result in fire or other damage.
e Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust this precision product. Doing so may damage it.
e If a problem should occur, have the set inspected at your store of purchase.
When Operating
@ Be sure to not let the unit fall or be strongly impacted since this may cause a malfunction or fire.
e If the monitor system has been incorrectly selected:
The image may move upward/downward or some colours may be missing from the image. Select
the monitor system (PAL/NTSC) correctly.{= Page 12)
e Parking in direct sunlight can produce very high temperatures inside your vehicle. Give the interior
a chance to cool down before switching the unit on.
{| Cautions for the Liquid Crystal Panel
e Do not leave the liquid crystal panel surface facing upwards. (Storage temperature range: —20 °C
to +80 °C.)
When a liquid crystal panel reaches a high temperature or low temperature, chemical changes
occur within the liquid crystal panel, which may cause malfunctions.
e Do not bump the liquid crystal panel.
e When the temperature is very cold or very hot, the image may not appear clearly or may move
slowly. Also, movement of the image may seem to be out of synchronisation or the image quality
may decline in such environments. Note that this is not a malfunction
Spots
or problem. (usage temperature range: 0 °C to +40 °C.)
e There may be red spots, blue spots and green spots on the panel
surface. This is a characteristic of liquid crystal panels and is not a
problem. The liquid crystal panel is built with very high precision
technology and has at least 99.99% effective image pixels. Be aware
that on 0.01% of the panel there may be missing pixels or constantly
lit pixels.
