@ Never me bolts or nuts from the car's safety
ticviccs for installation.
If bolts or wts from the wllccl, brakes or other
safety devices arc tiscti for installation of the wow

@ Attach the wires correctly.
If the wiring is iiot correctly performxl, it may
cause a fire or an accident. lit particular, Itc sure to
rw imi secure the lead wire so that it does ilot get
tariglcti with a screw or the moving pot tion of a
seat rail.
@ Use with 1% V IX negative ground car.

diesel cars which arc 24 V IX car. If it is used ii)

Use the specified fuse.
Be sure to always use the specified fuse. If a
fuse other than the specified fuse is used, it
may cause a fire or an accident.
Do not damage the cord by ftiiicliiittJ or
pulling it.
Do ilot pull or damage the cord. If the cord is
ilot treated properly, it will slior t out or be
severed anti may cause a fire or an accitieiit.
'r'l~c first step iii installatioi\ is to identify all the car
wires you'll use wllcr~ hooking rip your l.CI) monitor.
As you itieittify each wire, WC stiyycst that you label
it using rnaskiriy tape and a lxxmancnt marker. 'Ihis
will IzIp avoid confusion when making conricctioiis
later.
Note:
II0 iiot conwct the power comicctor until you
have made all coi~iiections. If there are no plastic
caps 011 the hooking wires, insulate all cxl~oseti
leads with electrical tape until you are ready to use
tlicm. lticritify the leads in the following order.
Power Lead
If your car has a radio or is pre-wirctl for one:
Cot the coiwxtor wires 011c at a time from the ldug
(leaving the lcatls as long as possible) so that you
can work with indivititlal leads.
Turii 011 the ignition to the accessory position, arid
ground one leari of the test bulb to the chassis.
'I'oucl~ the other lead of the test bulb to each of the
cxposcti wires from the radio coriiicctor plug. Touch
OIIC wire at a time until you find the outlet that caw,
es the test bulb to light.
Now turn the ignition off arid tlicil on. If the bulb also
turns off aiitl on, that outlet is the car power lead.
If your car is not wired for an audio unit:
Go to the fuse block ad find the fuse pot t for acces-
soty (ACC), or ignition (IGN).
