    1 . 1 Introduction Please read and understand this manual in its entirety before using your Freeway Flow Shower Cradle. The information in this manual is important for the safety of anyone near the shower cradle and must be read and understood to help prevent injuries.

  • Page 5 The shower cradle mesh is a specially designed fabric that attaches to the shower cradle by a system of buckles. The mesh can be removed for cleaning/washing and drying and is expected to be replaced during the lifetime of the metalwork. Please read and understand the section in this manual, for the correct attachment and detachment of the mesh to ensure the safety of the user is not compromised.

    Assembly Instructions 4 . 1 Unpacking The shower cradle will arrive to you in a robust box, please be careful when removing the components from the box. Please read the user manual in full before using this product. This user manual should be kept safe for future reference. The shower cradle has been specifically designed to be used in both the professional and home health care environments.

    Operating Instructions This product may be heavy for users and will need to be lifted with care, please operate this product with the use of the castors wherever possible to prevent any injury. Before use, you should familiarise yourself with the use of the shower cradle, the procedure for tilting the product forwards and backwards and the operation of castor brakes.

    Figure 5 Figure 7 Figure 6 As per Figure 5, place your foot on the red section of the castor and push down (Figure 6). The red plastic will remain pointing upwards, indicating the brake is now activated. Repeat the process for all castors to ensure that the product is fully secure in position.

When you get to the top connect the three 25mm buckles and pull the belts to tighten the mesh (Figure 12). Once all the buckles are connected, pull the belts to tighten up at each location.

    5 . 4 Manually Adjusting the Product Height Never attempt to adjust the height of the product when someone is sitting in the shower cradle. All four castors must be set to the same height before use. Make sure that the plastic retaining clip is fully inserted, the pin must pass through the tube.

    5 . 5 Using the Commode Pan Make sure that the commode pan is empty before attempting to tilt the shower cradle back. Figure 16 Figure 17 Figure 18 The plastic commode pan self-locates onto the metal commode tray and can easily be removed for emptying the contents and cleaning, by simply sliding the pan out.

    Figure 20 Figure 21 Figure 19 Figure 19 shows how to position the cushion. The buckle is then wrapped around the frame and clipped together (Figure 20). Pull the belt to tighten up the cushion and slide the zip tie to prevent the leftover belt from hanging down (Figure 21).

    Disposal When the shower cradle has completed its life cycle and can no longer perform to its intended use safely, the product must be decommissioned by an approved Service Engineer. The following specifies the importance of correct disposal procedure including local laws and being environmentally friendly. Please observe the local laws on recycling and respect the current laws for disposal within the community the product is being used within.

    10 . 2 Inspection Inspection is to be completed prior to each use by the user of the shower cradle. Should any of the components in the table below fail the inspection, DO NOT use the shower cradle. Contact your local authorised dealer for service – contact details are on the last page of this manual. Ensure all component inspections in the Table below are completed prior to each use of the shower cradle.

    This guarantee does not affect or in any way limit your Statutory Rights. The manufacturer guarantees the Freeway Flow Shower Cradle, against failure within the period of 60 months from the date of purchase by virtue of defects in material or workmanship. This is excluding the shower cradle mesh which has a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase.
