The VAHLE POWERCOM 485 device is a modem for secure data transmission via conductor rails. It can communicate with all PROFIBUS compatible products. It accepts the various protocol variants of the PROFIBUS, and multiple VAHLE ® POWERCOM 485 units can be connected via the conductor rails.

VAHLE POWERCOM units can only operate safely and without problems in an EMC suitable environment (see also "EMC-suitable installation and configuration of VAHLE electronic components”).
