several frequency ranges by means of 12 dB/octave or 18
dB/octave
filters.
In such system, a more
natural sound
effect may
often be obtained
by reversing the acoustic
phases
of the speakers
used.
If the middle-
and high-
frequency
channel
power
amplifiers
are
provided
with
phase
reversing
switches,
operate
the
switches
while
listening to the music, to see if a better effect results. If
the power amplifiers have no such provision, reverse the
speaker terminal connections.
