ASSEMBLY/INSTALLATION
CAUTION! Do not use with rotary tools that exceed 4,000
RPM, as excess speed can damage the underlying finish or
paint.
1.
Screw the eraser wheel into the included mandrel.
2.
Insert the mandrel into a drill chuck and tighten.
OPERATION
The eraser wheel will shed rubber as it is used, reducing the
wheel's diameter. There is a stop line incorporated into the wheel.
Replace the eraser wheel when you reach this line, as the internal
hardware may contact the work area if use continues.
1.
Clean the decal and surrounding are to remove any
debris that can scratch the paint.
2.
Set the drill between 1,500 to 3,000 RPM. Start with the
slower speed and only increase the rotation speed if the
wheel isn't removing the decal.
a.
Older decal adhesives may be harder to remove.
3.
Hold the drill sideways, so the wheel's curve is facing the
decal. Start the drill. Depending on which direction the
wheel is turning, start at either the top or bottom of the
decal or graphic.
4.
Move the wheel against the decal with light pressure.
Heavy pressure can damage or burn the finish.
5.
Move the wheel back-and-forth while moving vertically
from the starting position. Only do a few inches across
on larger graphics.
6.
Take frequent breaks when working on a large decal or
graphic to allow the wheel to cool down. The wheel heats
up and that can damage the finish.
7.
Use denatured alcohol or a similar solvent to remove the
glue residue after the decal is removed.
