PREPARATION
TOOLS REQUIRED
The following tools are required for installing the transceiver:
¢ 6mm (1/4 inch) or larger electric drill
e Drill bits (sizes listed below) and circle cutters
Drill Bit Sie =| _ Purpose
4.2 mm (5/32 inch) 5 x 16 mm self-tapping screws
3.2 mm (1/8 inch) 4x 16 mm self-tapping screws
POWER CABLE CONNECTION
CAUTION: THE TRANSCEIVER OPERATES IN 12 V NEGATIVE GROUND SYSTEMS ONLY!
CHECK THE BATTERY POLARITY
AND VOLTAGE OF THE VEHICLE BEFORE INSTALLING THE
TRANSCEIVER.
e Locate the fuse as close to the battery as possible.
