Installation Operation Maintenance
Spring Loaded Hinges
The snout door stays open under the power of a spring
loaded hinge. It is possible that the door can end up in
reverse operation if removed for cleaning and reinstalled in
the closed position. This will cause the door to close under
the weight of baffle. This is easily remedied by reinstalling
the door in the open position.
1. Check the operation of the door by opening and shutting
the door. When the door has no resistance while in
the open (up) position, makes a click sound on the way
down and pulls shut; it is in reversed operation.
2. While the door is in the closed (down) position remove
the screws and square hole washer on the left and right
hand hinge bracket.

3. Remove the door.
4. Reinstall the door in the open (up) position.

5. Reinstall the square hole washers and screws; securing
the door in place.
6. Test the door functionality. Close the door, there should
be little to no resistance and the door will not slam shut.
Open the door, there will be a click sound about 1/2 to
2/3 of the way up. At that point the hinge has engaged in
the locked position and it will pull and stay open.
Locked Position
7. The baffle can now be securely placed on the catch and
the door will hold in the open position.
